Three Scholarships for MSc Clinical Trials by Distance Learning

Applications are invited for three scholarships to study the Distance Learning MSc Clinical Trials (CT) course commencing October 2012. These scholarship are offered by the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP). The MSc Clinical Trials course is run by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), in collaboration with the University of London International Programmes.

Malaria Vectored Vaccine Consortium

The Malaria Vectored Vaccines Consortium (MVVC) is a partnership of four African and four European institutions. It has two related objectives:

To develop a malaria vaccine for use by populations where malaria is endemic
To build research capacity in endemic countries, and improve networking of its partners

The Global Polio Eradication Initiative is a public-private partnership led by national governments and spearheaded by the World Health Organization (WHO), Rotary International, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). Its goal is to eradicate polio worldwide.

WikiProject Medicine

This project aims to enable Wikipedians to cooperate, organize, make suggestions and share ideas on the improvement of the medicine and health-related articles of Wikipedia. Many suggestions and guidelines have been developed since the project began. A particularly useful collection can be found in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style (medicine-related articles), which contains a detailed discussion of issues related to writing medicine articles on Wikipedia.

HIFA2015 contributes to the broader goal of the Global Health Workforce Alliance: ‘All people everywhere will have access to a skilled, motivated and supported health worker, within a robust health system’
