Health Situation Analysis in the African Region, Atlas of Health Statistics, 2012The Atlas of Health Statistics, 2012, which provides a health situation analysis of WHO’s African Region, is the most significant data output of the African Health Observatory (www.aho.afro.who.int). Now in its second edition, the Atlas is building on the ground-breaking work that was carried out in preparing the initial edition. Not only has it been updated for 2012, but its coverage has expanded and further indicators have been included.

eSCART - electronic Short Course on Antiretroviral TherapyeSCART is an electronic short course on antiretroviral therapy being offered by the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, Belgium, on the antiretroviral treatment of HIV patients in low-resource settings. eSCART targets health care professionals (physicians and clinical officers) working in low-resource settings and has been designed to increase accessibility to training from remote areas in the field of HIV/AIDS care.
