Joint UNICEF-TDR Implementation Research Project to strengthen the equity strategy in AfricaDeadline for submission of letter of intent: 19 September 2011 The objectives of the Regional Implementation Research are to: 1. Intersectoral approaches to vector control based on environmental management practices, combined with community mobilization, for example, through partnerships between communities and municipal services to improve water management and solid waste disposal. Improved water management and vector control efforts focusing on productive water container types. Letters of Intent must be submitted not later than 19 September 2011. The letters of intent should be submitted by Email with attached documents to: tdrgrant@who.int Feedback to all applicants will be provided by 10 October 2011. Scholarships now available for Health Management Programmes in AfricaThe Foundation for Professional Development (FPD) is pleased to announce that its highly acclaimed Health Management Programmes will now be offered to students in 8 countries in Africa, namely Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Lesotho and Swaziland. Through a generous grant from the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), the FPD is able to provide scholarships on the following two programmes: Health Management and Advanced Health Management.
