Clinical Research Physician - TB Research Group - Ho Chi Minh

The Oxford University Clinical Research Unit, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam is seeking an enthusiastic physician to join one of the leading clinical infectious diseases research groups in Asia based at the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (OUCRU-VN). You will work with OUCRU-VN’s tuberculosis research group and help deliver a programme of clinical research aimed at improving the outcomes of patients with pulmonary and meningeal tuberculosis.
The programme will start recruiting patients in early 2017, and we anticipate the successful applicant will take up this position sometime between November 2016 and April 2017. You will be clinically qualified and engaged in specialist training in infectious diseases, HIV medicine, general internal medicine or critical care and hold a membership of the Royal College of Physicians, or international equivalent. Significant clinical experience treating patients with tuberculosis, HIV infection and opportunistic infections is essential. A Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene plus clinical and research experience in resource constrained settings, preferably Asia, is desirable.
This position is available on a full-time basis for a fixed-term of 4 years.
