The Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) is urging health system policy makers, scholars and researchers in its member countries to submit abstracts related to “resilient and responsive health systems for a changing world”, this year’s theme for the Fourth Global Symposium on Health Systems Research, which will be held on 14-18 November 2016 in Vancouver, Canada. Session abstracts for the symposium are to be submitted by January 24 2016, and individual abstracts are to be received by March 20 2016. Health Systems Global, the Canadian Society for International Health, and PAHO/WHO are cosponsors of the symposium. Submissions for sessions within the symposium should be based on research in areas including the political economy of health systems, health system resilience, anticipating changes within health systems to improve responsiveness, and health systems as incubators of innovation. Travel support, to the extent available, may be provided to accepted presenters from low- and middle-income countries as well as full-time students. Promoting research and knowledge management in health systems constitutes an important part of PAHO/WHO’s efforts to support its member countries in advancing toward universal access to health and universal health coverage, goals that the countries of the Americas collectively endorsed in 2014.

La Organización Panamericana de la Salud/Organización Mundial de la Salud (OPS/OMS) hace un llamado a los responsables de políticas de sistemas de salud, a expertos e investigadores de sus Estados Miembros para que presenten resúmenes relacionados con "los sistemas de salud resilientes y sensibles para un mundo en evolución", tema del Cuarto Simposio Mundial de Investigación sobre Sistemas de Salud, que se celebrará del 14 al18 de noviembre del 2016 en Vancouver, Canadá. Los resúmenes de sesión para el simposio se presentarán a más tardar el 24 de enero del 2016, y los resúmenes individuales se recibirán a más tardar el 20 de marzo del 2016. El Health Systems Global (por su nombre en inglés), Canadian Society for International Health (por su nombre en inglés) y la OPS OPS/OMS son copatrocinadores del simposio. Propuestas para las sesiones dentro del simposio deben basarse en la investigación de áreas que incluye la economía política de sistemas de salud, resiliencia del sistema de salud, prevención de cambios dentro de sistemas de salud para mejorar su respuesta, y los sistemas de salud como incubadoras de la innovación. Apoyo de viajes, según disponibilidad, podría ser proporcionado a los ponentes aceptados de países de bajos y medianos ingresos, así como a estudiantes de tiempo completo.
