Global Health Trials is delighted to announce the results of the Global Health Trials International Clinical Trials Day Competition. Entrants were requested to send in two-minute videos, or photoboards, about their research projects or careers. The entries were shortlisted, and the shortlist sent to a panel of four independent judges, and marked on four criteria: content (relevance, scientific interest), Engagement (keeping the audience interest), Creativity, and the supporting information/reason for attending.

In first place was HENOK NGUSSIE, for his entry about the GOLBET Trial in Ethiopia. Congratulations Henok! You have won attendance to the RSTMH Biennial meeting in Oxford, September 2014.

In second and third places were:
AARON KARAT for his video entry about the TB Fast Track Team based in Limpopo.
ARESH NAIK of India, for his video entry about the research group Sangath.
Congratulations both of you! You have won one-year fellowships with the RSTMH, which include online access to Transactions of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and International Health as well as discounted rates on all RSTMH meetings.

The judges also gave special commendations to three entries:
Doortje Heemskirk of the OUCRU in Vietnam
Nicole Cramer of the University of Cape Town, RSA
Stella Maria Paddick of the Hai District, Thailand

Congratulations to the three of you! The judges were very impressed with the standard of entries. The entries will be shared online in due course.
