Meeting 27-29 May 2014 in Doha, Qatar.

Meeting objectives:
- To present current scientific findings and research underway
- To discuss research challenges and opportunities in the region
- To share best practices information related to viral research bio-safety and bio-security
- To facilitate current and future research collaborations between investigators and institutions in MENA and the United States. To help achieve this objective, a competitive seed-grant program will be launched, through which eligible scientists may apply for collaborative research awards.

Abstract Submissions invited (deadline 17 April)
Viral diseases of priority to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to include:
- Hepatitis C
- Hepatitis E
- HIV/AIDS
- Coronaviruses, including the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV)
- Flaviviruses, including Alkhurmra Virus (ALKV)
- Other viral diseases relevant to the MENA region may be included in the agenda

Types of Research:
- Basic, clinical and translational
- Public health and epidemiology
- Bioinformatics
- Social and behavioral science

Criteria:
Research groups may submit multiple abstracts but may be the PRESENTER on only ONE abstract. If multiple abstracts by the same ​presenter are submitted, only the FIRST ONE RECIVED will be reviewed.
- All abstracts should be​ submitt​ed in ENGLISH
- Abstracts should be NO MORE than 400 words
- Please indicate your travel support needs when submitting your abstract
- Please indicate whether you would prefer to be a speaker or a poster presenter. Note: the Scientific Committee will make the final presentation decisions.
