The study aims to examine people’s clinical and personal experiences of stroke and their adjustment to life afterwards. It will focus specifically on the provision of care outside the formal health services and how this may be shaped by cultural factors, and what impact this has on recovery. It is hoped that by understanding how care is provided, that programs and policies can be put in place to achieve better health outcomes for stroke patients.
