Wellcome Trust research call: Enhancing discoverability of public health and epidemiology research data

The Wellcome Trust is commissioning research on behalf of the Public Health Research Data Forum to identify and appraise ways in which Forum partners could make research datasets easier for potential users to discover.

Research aims:

* Examine the current discoverability of public
health and epidemiology research datasets supported by the Forum partners, and any associated challenges that may constrain efforts to increase access.

* Review existing models for establishing data
catalogues, archives and other systems to facilitate data discovery, and their applicability to public health and epidemiology data.

* Identify possible models through which funders
could enhance discoverability of (and access to) public health and epidemiology research data - and examine their feasibility and associated cost implications.
