As part of its aim to to improve cervical cancer prevention programmes for HIV–infected women in South Africa and Burkina Faso, HARP will be evaluating the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of alternative screening strategies, and by developing algorithms leading to earlier detection and management of cervical cancer in these high-risk populations. The website contains facts on cervical cancer in South Africa and Burkina Faso as well as information on screening of cervical cancer. A list of selected publications by the HARP team members has further information on cervical cancer and screening.
