Many young  and middle aged men in Africa  between 30-50 years are dying daily of non communicable diseases such as Cancer, CVDs, Liver and Kindney diseases. To worsen the situation, most of the diagnostic tests avilable, afordable and accessible  are not predictive in nature, but could only pick disease(s) when it has reached an advanced stage. This results in poor diagnosis of ailments at the earliest stage resulting in poor prognosis. Since this is becoming a huge budern in Africa especially when it begins to deplet an active population group, a call for action is urgently required. Most of the current interventions available are targetted towards improving public health indices, but little attentiom in given to diagnostic aspects. I would be glad to have you share your ideas on how to reduce this unpleasant occurence especially in the African population..
