Scholarships now available for Health Management Programmes in Africa

The Foundation for Professional Development (FPD) is pleased to announce that its highly acclaimed Health Management Programmes will now be offered to students in 8 countries in Africa, namely Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Lesotho and Swaziland. Through a generous grant from the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), the FPD is able to provide scholarships on the following two programmes: Health Management and Advanced Health Management.

Three Scholarships for MSc Clinical Trials by Distance Learning

Applications are invited for three scholarships to study the Distance Learning MSc Clinical Trials (CT) course commencing October 2012. These scholarship are offered by the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP). The MSc Clinical Trials course is run by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), in collaboration with the University of London International Programmes.

Scholarship for MSc Clinical Trials by Distance Learning

Applications are invited for one scholarship to study the Distance Learning MSc Clinical Trials (CT) course commencing October 2012. This scholarship is offered by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). The scholarship covers full tuition fees to study the Distance Learning MSc Clinical Trials, and a contribution towards local examination centre fees.

Criteria for the scholarship

This MSc Clinical Trials scholarship is available only to a student who is a national of, and resident within, a Low Income country.

Applicants will be assessed on the following criteria: the academic merit of the applicant (at least a 2:1 or equivalent first Honours undergraduate degree), at least two years' proven work experience in the Clinical Trials field, how the skills and qualification obtained from the MSc Clinical Trials would benefit both the applicant and their institution, with respect to current and/or future employment; and
impact on the development of the applicant's home country.
