We are seeking an experienced communications manager to lead the communications and dissemination work package for the EBOVAC1 Ebola vaccine trials project.
The post-holder will develop and manage strategies and systems to ensure that the work of the project, and its research outcomes and recommendations, are communicated clearly and accurately to participants, stakeholders, the media and the wider public. The post-holder will communicate and engage with partner organisations, health officials and local authorities in participating countries, facilitating clear and constructive dialogue between all parties.
The post is available immediately and will be based in Sierra Leone (approx. 6 months) and London, with travel to meetings and partner trial sites elsewhere in Europe and Africa.
Part of a wider Ebola vaccine trials programme, EBOVAC1 is a collaboration between the School, Crucell (part of the Janssen Pharmaceutical companies), Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale (Inserm), the University of Oxford, with research partners in East and West Africa. This project has received funding from the Innovative Medicines Initiative 2 Joint Undertaking, which receives support from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA).
