Objective:
The IVI Vaccinology course aims to strengthen the capacity of scientists, doctors, and policy makers in the field of vaccinology.
Description:
IVI’s Vaccinology course is a five-day advanced course on vaccinology aiming to strengthen the capacity of the participant by providing a comprehensive overview of vaccines starting with epidemiology and immunobiology, moving through development and access, and concluding with use and acceptance. Additionally, the course addresses policy, communications, and ethical issues related to vaccines and vaccine development. The course seeks to develop attendees to become leaders in vaccinology in their community, and includes examples from case-studies with experts from the field.
Who should Apply:
IVI’s Vaccinology Course is open to all applicants who are working in the field of vaccinology. Due to the high level of the course it is recommended that all applicants have a background in vaccines and vaccination. The working language of the course is English. No translations will be provided.
Datelines:
# All applications must be received by 04/18/2014.
# Fellowship applications must be received by 03/28/2014.
Fellowships:
Fellowships are competitively awarded to participants with demonstrated financial need. As a fellow, your course participation, including registration and accommodation fees will be covered by the institute. To be considered for a fellowship you must complete the registration form and submit it by March 28, 2014. After all applications have been reviewed, IVI will contact all successful applicants of their acceptance as a fellowship recipient.
