A review of the current literature on the difficulties facing clinical trials reveals that it is not just resources that limit clinical trial conduct in resource-limited settings. Authors suggest that it can be hard for people to get involved in clinical trials and where opportunities are available, there are factors that put people off becoming investigators and trial staff.
In this topic group we would like to promote discussion on what makes a good clinical trial research culture? How can this be strengthened and how can people be encouraged to get involved in working in clinical trials? Equally, what barriers exist to working in clinical trials and what discourages people from becoming a clinical trial researcher?
