The Multi-Regional Clinical Trials Center of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital & Harvard, Division of Global Health Equity, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA are offering TWO free one-day workshops, one at Wits in Johannesburg, the other at UCT, Cape Town. 
The workshops are entitled:Data monitoring committees, pharmacovigilance & vaccine development1-day training for clinical trial investigators & statisticians
Topics:


  • DMC membership & responsibilities, monitoring for safety, efficacy & futility

  • Important causality definitions, distinction between cause & correlation, case studies to assess causality

  • Safety reporting processes

  • Vaccine development
