The next ‘Vaccinology in Africa’  Master’s Level Course will be hosted by the Malaria Research and Training Centre (MRTC) & Centre d’Infectiologie Charles Mérieux (CICM) in Bamako, Mali, from 5 to 9 October 2015.
The course is jointly organised by the Jenner Institute, University of Oxford, MRTC, CICM and the Fondation Mérieux, and supported by the Jenner Vaccine Foundation, Fondation Mérieux, Pfizer and other sponsors.
Two courses have been conducted previously (Accra, Ghana in 2013, Nairobi, Kenya in 2014) with excellent reviews from students and speakers at the course. This year, 40 students from West and Central Africa are expected to participate, with a faculty of around 20 international lecturers drawn from the Oxford Vaccinology Course and the Fondation Mérieux’s ADVAC course, as well as prominent African vaccine experts.
