SiteFinder, one of the Global Health Network's research tools, has released a new interactive global map of research sites in LMICs. Clicking on each pointer on the map will link you through to information on that research site. The aim is that research sites looking for collabroations will easily be able to link with other research groups, universities, funding organisations, research groups, sponsors, and anyone planning a study.
Both research sites and new research studies can be added to SiteFinder for free, simply by following the instructions on the page labelled 'how to register' (or, log in to the site, then simply click 'add a study' or 'add a site'). You can also email sitefiner@theglobalhealthnetwork.org for support.
Registered research sites will not only be automatically notified of relevant new studies in their disease areas, but will also receive monthly emails containing news about funding opportunities, grants, training opportunities, fellowships, etc.
You can view the map at: https://sitefinder.tghn.org/map-sites/.

PhD Scholarships available for qualitative study on stroke in SEACO, Segamat, Malaysia. The study aims to examine people’s clinical and personal experiences of stroke and their adjustment to life afterwards. It will focus specifically on the provision of care outside the formal health services and how this may be shaped by cultural factors, and what impact this has on recovery. It is hoped that by understanding how care is provided, that programs and policies can be put in place to achieve better health outcomes for stroke patients.

    Dear Professory Valero,

Thanks for your comment and sorry for the acronym! LMIC means 'Low or Middle Income Country', so includes any country listed as 'developing'. The idea for SiteFinder is to encourage research in low and middle income countries, including Colombia where I see that you are based. You are very welcome to sign up your research site to Colombia, if you'd like to do so. If you need any help, please do let me know.

    Kind regards
    The Editorial Team
