About: Sorry, Dave. I’d make sure I had separate accounts. My ex and I had joint checking and savings accounts. We took FPU together and later taught FPU together. After 16 years of marriage, he had an affair, cleaned out our bank accounts (Almost $20K) and all of our cash envelopes, filed for divorce and told me it was all my fault. I had been a stay at home mom for 9 years. I was left with $110, a junky car with 226,000 miles on it and two young children to raise. I had no family close by for support.
