Flavia Zalwango Kabuye

About: With a multidisciplinary academic foundation, I have developed a deep understanding of how social structures directly influence health outcomes, particularly among vulnerable populations. Currently, I am further expanding this expertise by pursuing a PhD in Journalism, Media, and Communication. Professionally, I serve as a researcher investigating the social, structural, and biological determinants of vaccine impact. My work is rooted in a philosophy of co-learning and community ownership, ensuring that those most affected by health disparities are active partners in developing solutions. This trajectory has shaped my thematic interest in the intersection of social science and public health, specifically regarding how communication and social determinants dictate the success of medical interventions.
