Md. Fahad Hossain

About: Dr. Md. Fahad Hossain aspires to be a honed Public Health Professional to improve health and quality of life of the people through the integrated prevention and treatment care of disease. Recently he is serving a feasibility study considering to implement a health micro-insurance for the employees of factories in the garment sector in Dhaka, joint program of ATIA, a French NGO, and OKAIDI, a French brand in the garment sector as a “Medical Advisor”. Completing Masters of Public Health on “Epidemiology” from North South University in 2015, he served as "Research Associate" of Ethics Advanced Technology Limited in a project titled “Evidence-based Technical Analysis for Digital Birth Registration towards Strengthening Civil Registration and Vital Statistics in Bangladesh” under direct supervision of “Plan International headquarter”. Starting his career as an “USAID intern fellow” of Japan Bangladesh Friendship Nursing Institute in 2014 under “Next Generation Public Health Expert Program he leads activities designed to develop collaborative research with research colleagues and support staff internally and to actively develop appropriate external contacts and organized various seminars and meeting with the International delegates in the department of public health of NSU. During working at North South University as “Faculty associate” he conducted various undergraduate classes of “Introduction to Public Health” and also completed his thesis titled, “Treatment Seeking Behavior of Breast Cancer Patients Attending at Ahsania Mission Cancer Hospital, Bangladesh under the Supervision of Dr. G U Ahsan. Before that, Dr. Fahad has also worked as a “Research assistant” of Bangladesh Institute of Research for Promotion of Essential & Reproductive Health and Technologies (BIRPERHT).
