About: The IPA style beer became the best-selling craft beer, standing out among consumers for its strong, aromatic character which, contrasted with the lightness of the lagers they were used to drinking, seemed to be a totally different style. Soon, American hops gave it its own stamp. Harvested primarily in the Pacific Northwest, American hops can contain hints ranging from mild and citrusy to harsh or even fruity, making them an excellent element for producing beers with a strong character. Due to the high hop flavor, soon the beers began to be consigned under a new denomination: Double or Imperial IPA, a new style that exemplified the mischievous and revolutionary way in which American craft breweries worked, where there was even talk of an "imperialization" of styles.
