About: PhD candidate studying global health and development at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management, Brandeis University. She received an MA in Social Policy (2011) and an M.S. in International Health Policy and Management (2008) from the Heller School, a B.S. in Nursing (1992) from University of Massachusetts, and completed a clinical fellowship in psychiatry /addictions at Harvard Medical School (2001-2002). Her research areas include cost effectiveness of health interventions in Low and Middle Income (LMIC) countries, infectious disease interventions, and human resources for health.. She currently is moderator for the Nursing/Midwifery group and the Ebola Response group at Global Health Delivery online, an open collaboration platform, is one of the directors of the Global Nursing Caucus, a Boston–based NGO, and in November – December 2014, she was an Ebola response clinician for Partners in Health in Liberia. Her dissertation explores the impact of malaria on three proxies for human development: health, education, and family income.
