INVpath is an open and free project plan I am currently drafting.
The name stands for “Developing Paths for Research” in English, or “Criando Caminhos para a Investigação” in Portuguese.
The plan aims to support the development and implementation of research activities in human, animal, and environmental health, following the One Health approach.
Objectives
Contribute to the development of high-quality, accessible human research, promoted by a greater diversity of stakeholders and focused on underrepresented areas — strengthening the global research ecosystem across multiple dimensions, including local and community levels.
Develop activities related to the implementation and monitoring of health research studies, aligned with WHO guidelines, regulatory frameworks, ethical principles, and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — centered on research participants and adapted to the specific characteristics of each population group, community, and the scientific needs of each project.
Values
Equity — Prioritise research that addresses the needs of underserved populations and research teams.
Accessibility — Ensure inclusive access to research support services across disciplines, regions, and teams.
Diversity — Foster partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders and disciplines to enrich research outcomes and impact.
Collaboration — Advance open science through cross-sector collaboration, shared resources, and collective outcomes.
Compliance — Guarantee high-quality activities in accordance with legislation, ethical principles, and best practices.
