Trials invites you to submit to our new thematic series, ‘Building capacity for evidence informed trial management’.

The Editors will consider articles that report on what is currently known about effective trial management processes, how confident we are in that information and what we should all be doing to make trial management more evidence-informed and more widely discussed in the literature.

We encourage articles on any topic relevant to trial management, including articles describing current knowledge of effective trial management, empirical evaluations of different approaches to management and decision-making, how and if trial management should affect trial design and what we can learn from other management disciplines. Commentaries and opinion pieces are welcome, especially those looking explicitly to the future and how to make trial management more evidence-informed. All articles should make explicit and clear the relevance to trial management and how the results or opinions in the article should be used to improve trial management in the future.

Manuscripts should be formatted according to our submission guidelines and submitted via the online submission system. In the submission system please make sure the correct collection title is chosen from the additional information tab. Please also indicate clearly in the covering letter that the manuscript is to be considered in the ‘Building capacity for evidence informed trial management’ series.

The deadline for submissions to this thematic series is 31 July 2018. Manuscripts submitted after this date will still be considered in the main body of the journal.
