Oxford Policy Management (OPM) is recruiting for three full-time staff positions at the level of ‘Consultant’ or ‘Senior Consultant’ to join our Nutrition Portfolio. Specifically we are looking for the following profiles:
- Nutrition Financing / Health Economist;
- Public Health Nutritionist
- Consultant in Monitoring & Evaluation of Nutrition and Food Security Programmes
At OPM, we only have four levels of staff. Assistant consultants typically join straight out of post-graduate training. Consultants join with work experience, some management experience, are able to work independently and have a good understanding of the consultancy market place. Senior Consultants are able to take on large management and business strategy responsibilities and Principal Consultants are thought leaders in their area of specialization.
If you were working for us, here are some of the things you would have done last week:
- Debated various impact evaluation designs for a health systems intervention in Pakistan to improve nutrition outcomes
- Presented operational research findings to decision-makers and implementers to better design nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive programmes in Northern Nigeria
- Written-up a technical design note of a monitoring system of a cash transfer programme aimed at improving nutrition outcomes in Bihar, India
- Joined a ‘catch-up conference call’ with colleagues in academic institutions that OPM regularly collaborates withPrepared a new survey module to capture male attitudes towards key nutrition behaviours in Northern Nigeria that will be pre-tested next month
- A lunch time walk through Christchurch Meadows with a colleagues from OPM’s Water and Social Protection teams to brainstorm on the challenges of nutrition-sensitive programmes
