The Institut Pasteur de Tunis (IPT) is organizing with the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Agence Tunisienne de Coopération Technique (ATCT) a Stakeholders Symposium and Train the Trainers Course on translation and applications of advances in genomics for control of infectious diseases of poverty. The initiative is organised within the framework of triangular cooperation for the promotion of South-South cooperation in Africa. This action follows a successful 3 year course IPT/ATCT/JICA program with the objectives of empowering health researchers in Africa in advances in genomics including translational bioinformatics, applications of genomics tools for pathogen detection and molecular biochemistry in public health.
The selection of the participants to the workshop will be competitive; the applications will be scored according to each of the 5 criteria listed on the call. Selected workshop participants will be invited to the symposium.
