The 4th ANDI conference just finished in Addis Ababa, at UNECA premises. One of the key things to remember was that ANDI has been transitioned from WHO/TDR to Africa and that Ministers of Health, Science and Technology must start working immediately spreading the vision of ANDI in their Ministries and Presidents and Prime Ministers respectivley. ANDI needs both financial and human resources from African governments to attain its objectives. Another main news was the announcement of the 32 approved Centres of Excellence in health innovation in Africa. These centres will collaborate with each other and equally assist in any strategic way they can to scale up resources of other institutions who are aiming to reach such recognition.
